Replaced my oven with induction cooktop

Even though I no longer own a heartland Rv, I still visit the forum regularly for tips and mod ideas. I did a mod to my SOB trailer that some may find interesting. I replaced my oven with an induction cooktop. We have never used the oven (except for storage) so I thought why not get rid of it.

Here's what I started with

I removed the glass top and top of oven to reveal the mounting screws on the inside edge of the counter top

I got this from lowes to cap the gas line

Test fit new top

New cabinet rails to accommodate new drawers.

Made some new drawers

New top cut out and routered so the cooktop will be flush with counter

Finished product with cabinet pulls and peel and stick tiles.

Very nicely done! Your new drawer stain really matches the existing color very well.
