Very nice! I found if you still want it to fit in the grey family, it's hard to find something that also brings in color. We went with greys and beiges.

I like what she picked! Where did she get it?

I believe that was a Walmart clearance item lol...

We are going to switch to a rv queen bed I believe to give us some more room in the bedroom. The first thing we both commented on was keeping the comforter, top sheet and pillow cases.

First issue with the new camper was we weren't getting video signal from the DVD player. Upon investigation I found a pin broken off in the TV from the video cable. I proceeded to pull the panel behind the TV off (the factory must have forgotten to clean the sawdust prior to assembly), removed the TV, pulled the radio out. I fished a new cable through and all is good again.

I mounted the motorcycle wheel chock using a collapsible metal anchor. I've used these in the past and they are great when you are working with a blind location such as a camper.

Next up was the addition of the Furion camera. I initially went with the back up only setup. The reception was spotty at best and when I contacted Furion I discovered I was sold an older version of their system that didn't have the antenna on the monitor. After some great customer service at Furion I ended up with the in motion/back up camera. This setup works great. At first I did not see a need for such a thing until I actually had it. I now use it rolling up the highway to make sure something isn't sitting behind me that I can't see in my mirrors. The back up camera is a big help as most are.

I added two outlets in the kitchen above the counter on both sides of the stove. This allows the coffee maker to be plugged in and not have a cord hanging over the front of the counter. I added another outlet in the garage as there was only one outlet in the garage and it was toward the ceiling.

In order to turn the vent fan on in the bathroom we had to use a ladder or climb on the tub. Poor design IMO. I pulled the light switch from the wall, used my 4' drill bit, drilled a hole into the "Attic" and ran my wires down to a double rocker switch.

The switch came from Home Depot.

Access to the attic came from removing the vent frame. There wasn't a hole in the top plate of the wall so I had to drill one. Eventually I'll do the bedroom fan also.

You should see the bike .....

LOL I purchased the toy hauler so we could ride more. It has worked for us so far. We started camping late last year as I was mad at the camper for tweaking my front fender.

Some great mods. Need to join us at a rally so we can see your handy work.

I was checking out the various rally dates already. Porthole mentioned the one in my back yard (Belvidere) to me. I could run from my house to that one.

Congratulations on your new RV. This was our second choice when we were looking but settled on the TQ31.
Great looking rv!!!

We wanted to look at a T33 but never did. Our first toy hauler had the open floor plan and we liked it. Having the dedicated garage now just gives us the feeling of having another room. We like the side patio. We haven't had this camper a year yet and we found the next one already....

By looking at your work I think you may have answered a question whether the interior walls were made with aluminum or wood studs. Looks like aluminum?

The interior walls are definitely wood framed.

Installed a HD decal on the rear ramp door. Centered the decal than trimmed the OEM decal so there was no overlap.

It has been an expensive week for us....

After a lot of jumping through hoops I was able to purchase a 3 season wall which I'll have to make fit my camper. Even more hoop jumping scored me the rear ramp door railing kit.

Both of these options are something we wanted in our T32. Since I purchased from the RV show I wasn't able to pick my options if they were even available.

Pictures of the installs to follow.....

Which model Furrion did you get? I am unable to find any that will handle dual cameras!

That's great. I hope you enjoy your T32 as much as we do ours.

We have the in motion setup. Give Helen a call at Furrion (574) 596-8430 to discus the different units. I may be wrong however I do believe we have dual camera capability.

Talking with furrion, their observation system only supports one camera. The backup cameras support 2 however the signal is not designed to be strong enough to work while in motion.

Will you have to modify both height and width to make the 3 season wall fit? I'm guessing that the top, bottom and side frames are extruded aluminum, and if that's the case, hopefully it's simply a matter of disassembling and cutting them down to the right lengths..
.. As you can tell, I'm very interested in this particular project...

Oops, just saw the last pics!
If you had to cut to adjust for height, what about the screen doors themselves??

I moved the two jack beds forward as much as they would allow. The top bed was simple, the bottom one not quite as easy. I took a piece of steel and cut a couple of 4" strips. The wood frame in the seats don't extend far enough for the bracket to be secured. With the 4" piece this make up the difference. I'm on the fence as to if the metal I used is thick enough or not. If it isn't I'll make another set. After securing the seats I noticed there is a gap between them. I never paid attention to this before and I know my bolt holes are in line with the factory holes. I may unbolt the seat and move them together to close that gap.

Excellent work! I might order the door kit as well... looks like a pretty straight forward mod.

Mike, I added patio stays years ago, something to watch for - the eyebolts at the top. As close as I made mine they still just touched the door keeping it from sealing completely at the top. Took a little extra work for the clearance.

Your cables, what size are they? I have crimpers for up to 1/4" sleeves if you want to go that route.
I ended up using small chain. Was easier to store and make my final length adjustments.

Although I never got the notoriety, fame and fortune for it I will take credit for giving the manufacturers the idea for a patio.
All of the different manufacturers patio setups came out after I posted about adding chains and making the rear deck :D

And - just so you know, there is zero structural support inside the ramp - door.

I need to get around to posting my ramp necropsy pictures

Until then, the ramp is:

1/16" outer fiberglass panel
1/8" luan plywood oriented horizontally
1/32" 6" wide strip of aluminum over the seam (2 4x8 sheets of 1/8" luan)
2" of styrofoam
1/8" luan plywood oriented vertically

All of the above vacuum laminated

Line-ex type interior coating

"Picture frame" extruded aluminum outer banding

Extruding has some type of adhesive from the inner channels to the center of the door lamination - essentially glued to the styrofoam.
90 degree extruded aluminum (cleats for lack of the proper term) press fit and epoxied into each of the four corners (eight connections)

If water gets through to the luan - IT will rot and you WILL lose any structural integrity you had.

My SEEG almost went through the ramp in Virginia last year.

1/4" cable with a coating making the OD 3/8". I may take you up on the crimpers for a cleaner look.

I am aware of that. Once it goes to crap I'll replace it with an actual ramp door made for the patio. For me I already have another camper in mind so I'm not sure how long I will have this one.

Excellent work! I might order the door kit as well... looks like a pretty straight forward mod.

I have them that was so they "hide" behind the screen when set up. Strictly a vanity thing.....

Once again, great work. I can fabricate as well and your project definitely peaked my interest in doing the same mod. My ramp is a deck ramp, it's a Challenger 5010 ramp door with a weight capacity of 2500 lbs.
I cant find the specs but it's my understanding that the patio ramps are stronger than regular ramp doors, so just be sure you don't have too much weight on it at any given time.

One other note about the Crosby's. I understand that you want to hide the saddles but the if installed backwards they very well could slip but probably will not fail completely. I would turn them around as even if they only slip a little, you don't want want one side of the ramp lower than the other. You want to avoid the torque it would place on your door as well as the hinge and door frame.
Lastly, strip the plastic sheath on the cables where the Crosby's are used. It is neccesary to have wire to wire contact for them to bind correctly. If you keep the plastic on, it will slip.

Like the other poster, I have access to crimping wire cable with thimbles and sleaves, and will gladly make you up some 3/16" cables ( factory size btw), just pay for the shipping. If you do go that route, add a carabiner on the low side so you can connect/disconnect quickly..

Not a spring assist.

It is an electric screw jack ram. Was a factory option when we ordered the trailer. Haven't seen another one out there.

Some how got water intrusion.

The bottom 12" or so of the 1/8" luan was rotten. It is all laminated, that is where the strength is. Take away any of the lamination and you have failure.
Once the inner luan was rotten, rolling 800 pounds of SEEG out on to styrofoam essentially.

I first noticed a hairline crack on the outside. Thinking it was failing from the outside in I taped over the crack before the next trip our trip. Each out and in of the bike the crack got bigger, so I ended up leaving the bike in the garage for half our 3 week trip.

The video was taken the day we got home and I unloaded the bike.

Not a problem.
I have a couple of questions and will need some specific measurements from you when you can.

I advise that you use a quick link up top and a carabiner for the lower point. Once you have the hardware I'll need the inside measurements of both quick link and carabiner as well an overall measurement from top pick point to bottom pick point. Once I have those, I'll swag a cable to length minus the inside length of quick link and carabiner, or whatever hardware you choose to use.
You will want the measurements to be as accurate as possible as these cables will not be adjustable.
Does that make sense?
My cable will not be vinyl coated, but you can chose between silver or black.

Made up some boxes for the tire holders. I had to cut them down as I did not allow for the movement it takes to get them onto the bracket on the frame, an oversight on my part. I made lids for the boxes, they still need to be cut down to match the boxes. I wasn't able to store what I originally wanted to in the boxes are they were simply to challenging to lift up onto the brackets once loaded. I started looking into tension rod pistons to help with the lifting. I simply haven't had the time to figure out exactly what I need.

After seeing pictures posted on the net of RV'rs using these collapsible ladders I decided to pick one up.

I picked up an inexpensive collapsible ladder from eBay. I usually take a ladder with me on longer trips and it takes up space thus the purchase of a compact ladder. If you are the kind of person who just simply doesn't like to be on ladders than this is not for you. It is a bit "rickety" at best. For me, no problem. This model is the 10'6" version, they are available in both shorter and longer versions. Raising and lowering the ladder is simple, pull up to extend and press the two buttons/tabs to lower. Storing the ladder isn't terrible with the thickness being somewhere around 3 1/2" and the length around 31" and maybe 14" wide. I don't know if the more expensive units are made better and are less "rickety" or not. For $54 shipped this will work just fine.

Something I looked into briefly last year was a TPMS for the camper. With the posts I've already seen this year of tires destroying campers I decided to go ahead and order a set. They vary greatly in price and capability. I choose something in the middle that had great reviews. Any of the bad reviews I read had very little to do with the actual product. I ordered a Bellacorp Tire Pressure Monitoring System for 6 wheels. I'll do the four on the camper and the rear two on the truck. This system also monitors heat which is more than likely the biggest factor in destroying tires for me. I'll have this setup in a few days, in time to try it on our trip to Boston. I'll let you know what I think of it when we get back. Manufactures pics.

I made the first trip with the TPMS this weekend and these are worth the money. The monitor scrolled through the tires so at any given time I could see individual tire pressure and temperature. It was interesting to see temperature and pressure change with speed, sun and road pitch.

Installed some some grab rails on the screen doors. Simple inexpensive addition. Seems as this is something that should have come stock.

My screen door has rubbed since new... not now. A little sanding of the screen door frame and it is good to go.

I broke down and purchased those little plastic pads. Same height at each corner as to what I was using with blocks, 1/4 of the weight and space.

Home Depot! They are from Camco. I was surprised Depot had them, and then had them for relatively cheap.
