Washer/Dryer width question

We have a 2011 BC 3510RL.

The door opening (inside molding to inside molding is 23-inches wide. (I've checked three times!)

All the washer/dryer stack combos I can find (Splendide, Kenmore, Whirlpool) are between 23.5 to 24 inches wide.

Do I have an oddball rig, or have people carved away molding lips to fit their washer/dryers in place? Removing the molding looks like a destructive job.

Most units have a one piece molding around doors which is usually held in place by the screws for the door knob striker and a few finishing screws. You should be able to remove the door and molding from one side to get W/D in place.
When I re-installed the molding I used two screws instead of finishing nails so the machine could be removed for service.

Our Splendide 2100xc was about 22 1/2 inches deep. Turn it sideways and it should fit. (Unless you are talking about the door/opening for where the unit will end up).
