ATF: Bighorn - Bedroom tv coax

I was in Arizona and have a cable tv guy install service for 2 months. Now the bedroom tv does not have a signal. I know the guy had the plates off the outlets in the bedroom closet. The jumper wire is attached. Can you please tell me what to do to get the bedroom tv working. There is also a wire laying there with a weird plug attached. I don't know what it is for.

Hello Sierrajer and welcome to this great forum.
Since we don't know what the cable guy did when he did your installation it might be difficult at best for anyone to help you get a signal to the bedroom TV.
I'm wondering what if anything had to be done by the cable guy for you to receive a cable signal. Your rig is, was, all set for a cable signal input.
If that wire with the strange looking plug is up front near or in your closet then it is used for a controller for a rooftop satellite dish.
Be sure to have your signal booster off when using cable.

Peace

Dave is right. Make sure your signal booster is NOT on. In the front closet on the left side check and see if a RED light is on, if so push on it to turn it off.

Your rig should not need and additional wiring done to be hooked up to cable.
