Keeping the heat out

It's hot and humid down here in Arkansas !!! Has anyone come up with some sort of additional window coverings other than the stock day/night shades, that helps to keep the trailer cooler during really hot/humid days so the AC doesn't have to work as hard (Big Horn 3055 RL w/15,000 btu)

we put up a sunblocker (the type you use for the windshield) over the shower skylight. we attached it with velcro....it helps a bunch. it also keeps the bedroom dark and cool.
we also bought a tabletop fan to help circulate the air.

We just bought a roll of GILA Platinum window film from Lowe's. It's supposed to reject 70% of the suns heat. The plan is for the large back window. It was around $32 for 3'X15'. It sounds and looks as if it will work great but we're waiting for our wood blinds to arrive before we put the film on. We already have dual pane windows but the specs on the film say it works equally well on dual panes. We also use a removable foam board on our shower skylight and foam in our roof vents. At 95 degrees outside we can maintain 75 to 76 inside with one a/c. Thanks to timk's tent in the vent.
