Airbag Pin Box Question

Question for those with an airbag pin box. Has anyone noticed any deterioration of the airbag due to sun or weather? I know a lot of people will cover their tires so the sun does not dry rot or crack them over an extended period of time. I was wondering if the same would hold true for the rubber airbag?

A close friend of mine had this made for me, I believe he kept the pattern and had a shop do the work. His name is Jerrod Jess and goes by the HOC name of "jesstalkn"

Thanks for the suggestions. For now, I'm just using an old Spare tire cover I had sitting in the garage from 3 trailers ago.

Make sure you put it on the hitch and put a piece of tape where you want the name and make sure it's level before you take it to the embroidery shop..
Or else it will be crucked like one side of mine is :-\

My Trail-Air with Tri-Glide is about 7 years old and showing no wear or problem. I moved it from my Bighorn to the Landmark.

Mine is two years old the cover has been on it most of the time and my side TrailAir decals have completely faded. and my last Trailer (toyhauler) was 10 years old and the bag was all sun cracked and looked pretty bad. That's why I had the cover made for my new one...

Isn't this the same sort of rubber airbag we have on our truck rear suspensions, and the big semis have on their axles and trailers?? You don't see or hear much about those airbags failing. Rather, the most frequent problems I hear about are with the air plumbing lines.

I had one start to crack from being exposed to the Texas sun for two years. I ordered a new bag (extremely easy to replace) and now I use a cover to protect it.
