Awning over entry

Somehow, the door should be shifted, or the awning lengthened. When it rains, the awning doesn't really "protect" the door....due to the edge of the awning being almost absolutely equal to the edge of the door.

Still love the rig though.

Here's the solution I made for that. It's 1/2" plywood and a 2x2. I did it on a lark to see how it worked. It stops rain, helps keep the wind from flapping the awning and I think it withstands much more wind than without it.

...and give up the floor plan I love so much? I'll keep the door shut when it rains, thank you! :)

Ditto on that as well. While I also wish for a longer awning on my 3600RE I will not give up my floor plan because of it either. Just time to put on my thinking cap as others here on this forum have done on their different mods and build me a better mousetrap for the awning. Love all the info on here.
