Bottom step of RW362

For those with a similar camper, does your bottom step look like this? Seems like it's missing something but not sure what it is. There is no Central vacuum in my camper, so not sure why there is a cutout.

We have a RW362 and it doesn't look like that at all. We do have the central vac unit, so there is a hose connection on the bottom step, but all of our steps are closed and carpeted. Interesting!

It's possibly the air return for the heater.
Do you see the air return anywhere else ? If that is your return I think it should have a decrative grill over it.

I'm a big guy (6'4"). My shoes won't fit in there if it is a shoe storage. . I checked and there's no return there either.

If it turns out to actually be a feature - shoe storage - the odds are pretty good no one actually tried shoes when they came up with the idea. ;)
