Alarms

Seems the two smoke detectors I bought from Mac the FireGuy at the 2011 Rally have given up the ghost. Both were emitting false alarms (yes, I'm sure there was nothing wrong), so I replaced them today. One was made in 2009, the other in 2011. Just because they say replace in 10 years does not guarantee they'll last that long. Got the ones with the 10 year no-replace Li battery in them. I also ran a test on the LP detector a few days ago and found it wasn't responding to gas, even though it had a green LED and the test button worked. Got an identical one to replace it online today. Those say to replace after 5 years (ooops, my OEM detector was made in 2008). New one has a June, 2017 date on it, same as the two new smoke detectors.
