Fema now ordering 4500 trailers for hurricane harvey victims

SOP for emergency housing. When a good number of homes burned down in a city where we lived, FEMA created a FEMAville using these same sort of mobile homes. The tough part was dismantling the "temporary" community because people would/could not leave and the units were not designed for long-term living. By any estimate, recovery is going to be a long, long, term effort. I just hope they fixed the out gassing problems cause by the use of inferior building materials in construction of the trailers.

FEMA caused a shortage of trailers that for the most part sat on federal property and airports and rotted away.
In my town we had an EPA facility with over 700 trailers on site.
When they were being put up for auction I went and took a look - not a single one I would have purchased, and none of them were used.
