Nice truck!

A couple of questions:
  1. Are those the 20" wheels?
  2. What hitch are you using, and did you get the fifth wheel prep?

thanks

Thanks.

Yes, 20" inch wheels.

Using b&w companion hitch with the 5th wheel factory prep.

That's a nice looking rig for sure. I'll be towing with my new F350 CCLB KR next week for the first time, can't wait.

You'll love it. The new Super Duty is so quiet, rides so smooth and has tons of power...

Nice rig, it looks like your trailer pulls level? May ask what the pin height of your trailer is and how much rail clearance you have?

When you ask what the pin height is, are you referring to the measurement from the ground to the bottom of kingpin or plate or something else? I don't have my camper at my house right now. I will say, with my b&w companion hitch in the middle setting, I have good clearance at full turn. I ended up raising the hitch to highest setting because I have a really, really steep driveway and at the crest of it, the camper only had a few inches of clearance. I now have about 4 inches at the crest of the hill and feel very comfortable with the setting. We've been camping for about 10 years and have not yet been to a campground with such a sudden and steep incline like my driveway.

I think they meant “pin weight”.

Ah, I'm assuming pin weight is roughly 20% camper weight. Camper is 17k, so pin weight would be roughly 3,400 lbs...

Ford F350 are great. I have a lifted 350 and it pulls my 5th wheel with no problem.

I am curious about the pin height, as you mentioned from the ground to the bottom of the king pin. We pulled a little nose high with our old 08 F 350 and the 17 F 350 is higher than our old truck. I am curious if some of the tow hauler model lines a better adapted for the new higher trucks. I have spent a bit of time trying to see if they publish this dimension, but no luck so far. We do a lot of random camping so ground clearance is becoming a big issue for us.
