Fresh water tank over fill

Hi. Total rookie screw up. Just got a 2015 Cyclone 4200. Yup, didn't turn the selector to city and left it on fresh tank and over filled it when I turned on the water tap. Not sure how long it was draining from the over flow lines. Maybe 5 minutes.
Any thing I can do to trouble shoot and find out if I broke something?

Maybe refill it again AND watch for draining?

Running on City fresh water now.

Thanks for the help. Love the forum!

Hi dananddiane,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum.

On trailers with gravity fill of the fresh tank, that don't have overflow outlets, you have to be careful not to overfill the fresh tank because you can cause damage. But with a 4-way Anderson Valve, you have 1 or 2 overflows. Once the tank is full, the excess water flows out the overflows.

So it sounds like yours operated exactly how they were supposed to. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Nevertheless, it's probably better not to tempt fate. Many of us use an inexpensive meter like this to keep track of how much water we're putting into the tank. They may not be 100% accurate at this low price, but they're probably close enough for what we're doing.
