Just bought a new truck and thought I would give the 4.10 gear a try this time.
Its going to be spring before I’ll get to pull my Big Country and courious as what I can expect towing.
Just running around it’s dropped a couple from what my old 2014 got. Someone told me it will do better towing then the 2014.
Any body have one that can share info on

We have a 2017 F350 pretty much identical to yours with the 4.1 axle. We tow a Cyclone 4005 and have so far been getting a little over 9 mpg while towing.

I have a 2017 F-350 DRW with 4.10's and get in the high 9's towing. Had a 2012 F-350 DR with 3.73's and got in the high 10's, so I lost about 1 MPG towing. Driving around unloaded about the same, lost 1 MPG. But, I did gain an unmeasurable amount of SPG.(Smiles Per Gallon):D

I had the 4:10 rear-end in my F-450. I hated the mileage I got with it. Usually around 7 to 7.5 while towing. When I bought my new truck in 2014, I went back to the F-350 because it had the 3:73 rear-end. Now I get 9 to 10 depending on the type of hills vs flat-lands I drive. I don't think I'll ever go back to the 4:10. Even with my heavy Landmark 365 I don't need the extra pulling power the 4:10 gives me. I prefer the extra fuel mileage.

I have a 2017 F450 4X4 CC Dually that I just purchased and empty I'm getting 15.2 empty @ 72 (400 mile round trip a week ago). Im hoping ill see 8-9mpg loaded. My 2011 F350 dually 4X4 got 15-16 empty and 9.9 pulling our 40' weekend Warrior. The 2011 had a 4.10, my 2017 has a 4.30 so im curious to see where I end up.

If your 2011 was a diesel, it had a 3.73 axle as that was the only option available from factory unless you had a c/c.

You sir are correct! It was a 3.73. I'm very interested to see what Im going to get with the F450. I didn't buy the truck for MPG but its always nice to know what you average for trip planning purposes.

Your 450 should get about the same milage as those of us with the F-350's with 4.10's since you will turn about the same RPM's with the 19.5" tires with the 4.30 gearing.
