Ladder for Heartland North Trial 22FBS

Our North Trail 22FBS does not have a ladder installed. It's a 2018 model. If we have a ladder installed, does that void the roof warranty? Does anyone have experience with installing a ladder on this model?

The issue is not so much the warranty as whether the roof was built with the structural support for a ladder. You should call Heartland Customer Service at 877-262-8032 / 574-262-8030. Have your VIN # ready. They can tell you if a backing board was built into the roof so a ladder can be mounted.

I think you might do better carrying a telescoping ladder in the storage bay or in the truck bed.

I ordered my North Trail 22 FBS from the dealer with a ladder. When I picked up the RV the ladder was not on. The dealer was going to install one and when checking with Heartland the only rear side to support a ladder was behind the wall for the shower....this meant the top of the ladder would go through the skylight in the shower...Heartland said it could not be installed due to the skylight.
