Here is another reason to drop Facebook:
Facebook has been collecting call records and SMSdata from Android devices for years. ... Facebook appears to be gathering this data through its Messenger application, which often prompts Android users to take over as the default SMS client.

I dropped FB for lent and to get away from all the drama and now I have yet another reason.
