Some of our kitchen cabinet drawers need to be resealed (just on the tops).

I was wondering what to use. Varnish/polyurethane? spray can? brush on?

If they don't need to be restained, I would just use urethane semi-gloss spray. Mask the front side of the drawer and use some very fine steel wool between 2 or 3 coats. Remove the masking tape for the last steel wool treatment.

Thanks for the suggestion, Ray. The stain is fine, although the varnish is looking worn due to cleaning, I suppose.

Urethane changes color from the cleaning products used on it, you need to use clear semi gloss laquer, It come in a spray can. you can purchase it at Shirwin Williams, Frazee, Nothing will harn the finish after you spray it on
