Thumping coming from inverter

Does anyone else have this problem. Occasional loud thump goes from the inverter while plugged in to shore power.

Following up on this excellent reply, if you DO have a transfer switch in the inverter, and you are hearing thumping, that is suggestive of loss of AC shore power and re-connection when the thumps happen. This could indicate a poor shore power outlet or pedestal wiring, or intermittent connections in your incoming shore power wiring on the trailer.

Are you sure you're not just hearing the transfer switch relay/s pulling in? Although it's more of a click to me than a thump!
