Roof leaking after 3 years , 2015 3110

I have a 2015 3110 cyclone bought it brand new and always did maintenance on my camper I’m on my roof 3 to 4 times a year easy checking things re-chalking Always looking for something leaking and my worst nightmare came true found this this weekend at least I caught it fast enough I went to work to fix it. I don’t want to pick on heartland but all these fifth wheels are built the same once you see how they are put together You realize why they leak and they hold no value after you buy them. The amount of staples and screws that are completely rusted out that hold the stuff together is crazy to me . Enjoy the pictures , check your roofs mainly in the back corners and by the front cap.

You seem very vigilant, and do good work in your repairs.

Have you ever given thought to going to Eternabond sealing thick tapes for your end caps and rain gutter seams? The 4" size is great for the end cap seams, and the 2 inch is just right for the rain gutter seams.
This should give you peace of mind, and with it's long life ,cut down on the roof maintenance chores.

I think I would look at one of the spray-on roof materials. they offer a lifetime warranty with no more caulking the seams.

We had the RV Flex-Armor roof sprayed on our rig a few months ago at http://dfwrvroof.com/rv-flex-armor/ and love it so far. They were great to work with and even helped with physically mounting my solar panels when all I asked them to do was put the mounts on so they could be sprayed/sealed with the roof.

It’s great not worrying about caulking joints or a branch tearing the thin rubber roof.

Have you identified the water entry point?

I am pretty sure by the way it was leaking , it was a slow leak though some of the chalking at the end caps of the rear corner on top , that what it looks like .

thank you , yes I was going to do that but I was scared that if for some reason I had to get back in there , that stuff is next to impossible to rip off with out destroying the rubber roof! Lol

Texas travler , that's awesome right there , do they spray it right over the rubber roof ? What's cost ? 5-6 k
Is there anything out there you can do yourself like this ?

If would be be cool if heartland started to do this for us in the future , to have a roof you don't have to worry with and can guarantee no water intrusion from the roof that's my biggest concern with this camper .

I have 2 questions as I am considering doing the same with my 2017 cyclone.

1. Do you know how much additional weight is added with the RV armor?

2. Once done do you still the capability to replace the dome shell over the shower area if ever needed?

I’m not sure how much additional weight was added. I didn’t weigh before and after. I believe I heard it was a couple hundred pounds.

I had them spray over the shower dome to protect it from hail damage. They said that the new roof is so tough they have had to grind out around them when they need to be replaced. I opted to just have them spray it and not worry about it.

It did stop light from coming in, but it also prevented a lot of heat from coming in through it too.

If you go to the main site rvroof.com you can search for locations. It looks like there’s a place in Massachusetts now, North Carolina, and 3 in Florida.
