Fresh water overflow location?

Have a 2011 Sundance 2900MK 5th wheel and can't find the overflow tube. I see the high and low point drains under the belly but no over flow.

Anyone have suggestions?

Fresh tank overflow was introduced with the 4-way Anderson Valve which isn't on any 2011 Heartland trailer. You have a gravity fill for the fresh tank. Next to it, there's a 1/2" vent with screening on it. That's the vent that lets air out of the fresh tank as water is added.

The fresh tank has a drain - not for overflow - that lets you empty the tank. As the fresh tank is usually located above the axles for weight distribution, the drain is typically found in front of the front axle, on the off-door-side.

Thank you, so does that mean the vent serves as the overflow?

No.

With the gravity fill, you're supposed to place the hose loosely into the fill opening. When the tank is full, the vent will spit and the fill opening will back up. But you shouldn't think of this as an overflow.

There are various conditions that can cause the fill opening to back up before the tank is full. A drooping fill hose for example. Or sometimes a little water in the vent line can prevent air from escaping, causing the fill opening to back up.

Be careful to not jam the hose tightly into the fill opening. The tank could be damaged.
