Hi
Glad to have joined. Need help with figuring out the control switches that are above the radio/dvd player. Can't figure out what the middle control switch is for? Our purchasing with cash was a nightmare and the orientation was horrible. Also any idea why our electrical outlets are not working?
Any help would be appreciated :)
Thanks...

Hi wife of Mantis401,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum. Sorry to hear about your sales experience.

When electric outlets stop working, there are several likely possibilities.

  • A circuit breaker might have tripped - check the main breaker panel. Flip breakers off and back on - don't just rely on how they look.
  • There's likely a ground fault outlet in the bathroom or kitchen. Usually the first outlet on a circuit is in one of those locations and will have the Test/Reset buttons in the center. If any outlet on that circuit gets wet, the ground fault outlet will trip to protect you. Locate it and press the reset button.
  • If you have 50 amp service in the trailer, your shore power cord might not be fully seated in the trailer receptacle. When that happens, half of your stuff won't get any power. The same thing can happen if there's a problem with the campground receptacle.
  • If you have 50 amp service in the trailer, but are plugged into a 30 amp or 15 amp receptacle, using an adapter, the adapter may not be passing power to both legs of your 50 amp shore power cord.

We've got an owner-written Electrical user guide that has pictures and drawings along with explanatory text that may help you through all this. It's in this folder. And as a bonus, there are a bunch of other user guides that may make up for the dealer's inadequate walk through.

Let us know what you find.
