SO, like many people, I have a screw loose!
I am having an issue with the front storage compartment screws on my Bighorn coming loose. These are the screws that hold the fiberglass sheet onto the front of the fifth wheel around the storage compartment door.
Does anyone have a fix other than larger and more screws...which may work just fine, but probably still be prone to loosening.
I was contemplating a couple mending plates installed under the front of the trailer drilled and screwed into the floor of the storage compartment and the underside metal attachment tube on the fiberglass sheet. Has anyone tried that or something similar? It would change the stress direction on the screw and probably hold better....
