Stove top exhaust fan replacement

Has anyone ever found a replacement fan that does not resemble a jet engine when you turn it on?
I have been looking to change out that fan in the last three trailers I have owned for years now.

I know for my noisy (both audible and electrical interference noise) bathroom vent fan, I swapped in a "boxer" type fan used in a computer CPU box. The CPU boxes mainly use 12 VDC fans. You can find these with a search on E-Bay, and in general they are MUCH quieter than the hood vent or ceiling vent original fans. Some of the box fans have serrated fan blade trailing edges for greater quieting. Check for the CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) ratings, dBM noise level ratings (lower is better), along with the dimensions.

Let the group know if you find a good substitute.

On edit: Somebody came up with a reportedly quiet total fan hood replacement, but it is $199. http://www.rvvent.com/fabulousoperatingproducts.htm
