Rear overhang 36' vs 43' 5th wheel

With the extra 7' of length, where is it added? I do not have the new one yet but am concerned about where I store it and if it will fit. I am hoping it is kind of split down the middle with 3.5' extra length behind the axles.

Thanks

I would imagine that axle placement would be engineered by weight displacement of the unit. I'm relatively sure by going up in length by 7' that it will not necessarily be adding that length behind axles, but may not be split exactly in half either. Their engineering will determine axle placement for best performance and handling. Our rig is 44' 1" and tracks better than my 30' gooseneck as the axles on gooseneck are very far back, much more difficult to get in certain places, and swing is way wider. Tail swing is much less, but there's no need to rush pulling away from a fuel island, (choose your spots for easy access), or any other tail swing obstacle. Take your time, keep your eyes open and enjoy!
