IPad Question

This question is for the Tech people out there.
I use my iPad most of the time to read the forum & I’ve noticed when someone posts a comment and they have an attached file, when I click on the attached file to open it, I only get a blank screen on the iPad, why is that.
While on the road, the iPad is much quicker to get into action than my computer.

You should be able to open the attachment with "ibook" I also have a IPad. My Ipad automatically pops the function
