Towing with a Titan

Set up to tow a M27, 8,000 lbs loaded with a 2018 Nissan Titan. My truck has a towing capacity of 9,400 lbs. I think I am stretching it though. Thought about using a Hensley Arrow. Is there anything else I could do to my rig to make it safer or easier to tow. Thanks for any comments or suggestions.

Hi huntersilver,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum. Sounds like you have 1,400 lbs of towing capacity above the loaded trailer weight. That's a pretty fair margin on an 8,000 lb. load.

I'm sure you'll get some feedback shortly on things like anti-sway hitches.

Welcome to the forum! FWIW... My father-in-law towed their 32' Jayco with a 2 wheel drive Titan until they bought a Class A. Twice he even doubled their golf cart behind it on a trailer. I got a picture somewhere, I'll have to see of I can find it. It was a sight!

Watch your payload capacity.
The 2018 titan may have a payload of only 1590lbs.
Tongue weight of 15% of 8000 is 1200LBS that goes against your payload capacity.

Payload may include driver passengers gear and tongue weight
