Thanks for sharing, Carl! How Amazing at age 96, made me tearful, and certainly should give all of us reflection and gratitude today:

Lee Greenwood sings it best for me -
...I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I gladly stand up next to you
And defend her still today
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land

God Bless the USA

As a retired Marine, Memorial day weekend for me, isn't a barbeque.
Thanks for enjoying.

I was in Norfolk in the summer 1984 and Lee Greenwood sung this during the 4th of July celebration downtown. He sure picked a great song to sing in a military town.
