Side Tables on each side of couch

Anyone open the bottom area of the two side tables on each side of the couch? Got a picture?

We've removed the couch and created a workstation/desk area for both of us. Now...we're wondering what is inside those table? Can we find some additional storage space?

Great question; I suspect it'd be dead space (but may be it's Jimmy Hoffas final resting place).

Hate to burst your bubble, but Hoffa isn't there. He's underneath the NYS T-way (mm 178.5 EB) as this section is one bumpy azz section. So a buddy of mine and I have termed it the "Hoffa Lane". Side note tho, the T-way is ware of the problem and has said the bridge deck needs replacing, but are actively trying to smooth it out. Not sure if it's in the cards down the road for actual replacement.
