If you mean a winch to raise and lower the door, the need for a winch would indicate you have water intrusion making it heavy.

I do not and dont think we would need it with the spring tension from the hinges.

I do have one question for the group about the rear ramp, ours doesn't seal in the top right corner, is there an adjustment that we can make to the hinges or the closing mechanism to ensure a tighter seal?

Instead of the 1" plastic caps they used on the door closer I used a rubber 1" chair leg cap. Instead of ~1/8" thick it is closer to 1/4". So far it seems to be working. I only needed one on the upper right.
