So my regulator on my second tank started to malfunction a couple of weeks ago. Took all apart and bought a new one. Fast forward to today and want to make sure I am not messing up. The arrow stamped on the top and marked IN and OUT. The OUT is the for the hose coming from the tank into the regulator am I right? Thanks

Just think about what the propane pressure regulator does: It takes the high pressure propane gas in your tank at about 150 PSI and drops it down to the very low pressure needed for your propane appliances at about 11 Inches of Water. With a conversion factor of 1 PSI being equal to about 27 Inches of Water, your appliances need the 150 PSI tank pressure dropped down to about 1/2 PSI by the regulator.

High pressure (tank) in - low pressure (to appliances) out.
