Snow Load

Anybody know how much snow the roof on a Bighorn will take before I need to clean it off? I'm not real keen on getting up there in the middle of winter.

one eye, I don't think you need to worry too much unless the snow is extremely and wet/heavy. Your Bighorn should do as well as your house. If you do go up to remove snow, be carefull not to damage the rubber roof membrane. Only use a broom.

Thanks! I kind of thought the roof should hold a fair amount of weight. I watched them being built at the factory and the trusses are quite substantial. I'm not intending to go up there if I don't have to.

It depends where in Ontario you are my unit is near Stouffville. I know it is not snow country but I have never had a problem. If you are in the snow belt areas it might be worth while keeping an eye on it.

I'm at Kitchener/Waterloo...usually not in the snow belt..but this year we've had more than normal. I'll go check it when the wind and snow stop blowing around here :)
