Needed the Bighorn

Hope everyone is enjoying the holidays.

Most of you know that we use our Bighorn on the jobsite. We just finished up a lake project on Dec 22d and were heading home, without the RV. Arrived home about 6 pm, temps around freezing and realized the (gas) furnace wasn't running along with the water heater.

Nick's first thought was I forgot to pay the gas bill while we were out of town. Come to find out, the gas line broke under the driveway.
The gas company shows up at 8 pm, turns off the gas and reminds us it is our responsiblity to fix the break.

Sure wish we had the RV! We spend the night in a motel.
The next morning, we are outside in the sleet, digging up the driveway to locate the leak. We had it fixed by mid afternoon and the gas turned on by sundown.

Now, the next surprise was the gas bill. $3900.

We still managed to have a wonderful Christmas.

Happy New Year!

That's a pretty miserable surprise. Is there any way you can contest that gas bill? AT least it's repaired and nobody got blown up. :)
