i am looking at a 3300RLB to purchase. it has a 30 amp service, but is prewired for a second ac. how do you handle the extra load for the second ac on only a 30 amp service? is the wiring between the plug and the main panel capable of converting to 50 amp or would that need to be changed as well? one more thing, can a heat strip be added to the main ac?

I don't have a definate answer for you but way back when there was a switch on the wall that would direct power to one or another high AMP usage.

It is a "major job" to convert your 30A to a 50A. In my experience a 30A serves our smaller trailers very well. With two airconditioners you can use one OR the other which is usually sufficient except in the most extreme conditions.
I would never again have a heat strip---too noisy and relatively inefficient. A small cube heater works better (for us).
