how do you operate the beds in cargo area?

Help, We want to lower just the bottom couch/bed in our cargo area of our '08 4012 and leave the top bed up high. Is this possible and how? We didn't get any instructions with it when we bought the trailer in '08 and it's nowhere in the "manual" that came with it. Very limited information in that and can't find anything when searching on this website. Would love to use the couch and watch the weather but can't figure this darned thing out.

you should have pins that slide into the upright rails just under the top bunk. They 'lock' it into place so only the lower bunk comes down. It's a little awkward, since the lower bunk is in the way while you are trying to do this, but it is do-able.

You are correct with the four pins. Inside of your blue owners packet, you should have 4 pins. Run the beds all the way up as far as they will go, then insert the four pins. When all 4 pins are in place, lower the bottom bed all the way down. Do not try to insert the pins until the top bed is all the way in the up position. This should remedy your issue. Thank you.

Mike, is this true for the 2009 3950 also? We would like to be able to just lower the bottom cargo bed too.

Works on my 2011 3950 HD as Mike explained, we just have to push up on the upper bunk to get the pins through, and outside in usually works best.
