Icemaker operation

Just got my 2nd outlet installed for the icemaker in the side by side fridge. I found a cutoff valve that looks like it goes to the icemaker (1/4 inch plastic hose, opened it about 3 turns, hooked up my water. Is there anything else needed to get it started making ice?

C;ark & Gail, that should be all you need to do. Make sure you throw out the first couple of batches of ice. In your manual it tells you how to adjust the icemaker and also on the white front of the icemaker it give you info. We love ours.

Thanks Tom--I checked the ice bin this AM and it was full of ice.
