Does anyone have any suggestions for camping in southern Tennessee? We've stayed at Tims Ford Lake and Fall Creek Falls. Does anyone else have suggestions? The kids like being able to ride their bikes so we try to hit places with bike trails my 7 year old can manage.

Try deerrunrvresort.com. It is close to Crossville. I have been told it is an excellent campground. I have reservations there for the end of June to try it out. Large lake, sits way back off the road for privacy and is gated.

It's not in the exact location you said... but it does fit in South East Tenn.

Chester Frost Park located in Hixson Tenn... just a little north of Chattanooga TN.

Great location... if you Must stay on the shore line of Lake Chickamauga they limit the length of stay to 14 days... BUT if you want to stay off the shore... they allow 28 days length of stay.

The park has lots of playgrounds... lots of paved roads... kids were riding their bikes & skate boards all day.. Plenty of fishing off the several docks... playgrounds are scattered about the park as well.

One of our favorite locations when we're in the area.

I would recommend David Crockett State Park. Mostly back-ins when we were there. Very quiet and peaceful with beautiful scenery. Hiking trails and waterfalls, deer walk by the campsites. Close to the Natchez Trace Parkway.

thanks for the suggestions. Clark is right about David Crockett park. We went there once last summer and it was great for kids.
