Difficulty Joining the Club

Q. What is “Name (Additional Person)” in the club application?  I have already entered my name.
A. It’s a second set of name fields that allows you to include a second person with whom you are most likely to be attending Heartland events. This person does not have to be an owner of the coach nor do they have to be related to you.

Payment Issues

Q: I wanted to pay for my renewal (or my full membership), but I can not get to the payment page.
A: Club membership is now free.  As such, there is no need to renew.  Club membership will continue until you ask to be removed or you no longer own a qualifying Heartland RV Brand coach.

Club Kits

Q. Will I receive a club kit?
A. As of 4-Nov-2017, club membership is free.  As such, we no longer fulfill a physical kit.

Plaques

Q. My frame/plaque is lost/stolen/broken.  How can I obtain a replacement frame?  I received my club kit after February 2016 – so no Plaque/Frame was included.  How can I purchase one?

Q. I have a Heartland RV that does not have a rear ladder.  What mounting frame should I request for the plaque?
A. Discuss your options with the plaque provider. He can explain the pros and cons of each type of mount.

Q. How do I mount the plaque mount on my ladder?
A. Follow this link for a step by step tutorial on how to install the plaques into the frame, the brackets onto the ladder and the frame onto the brackets.

Security and Privacy

Q. What about my name and contact information, how is that used? Do you sell or rent it?
A. No – We do not sell or rent your information. Your information is used internally to Heartland RVs and the Heartland Owners Club. We recommend that usernames DO NOT include your full name, i.e. First AND Last. If you would like to change your username, contact the Club Manager (see Contacts)

Regions and Chapters

Q. How are the regions defined?
A. The Heartland Owners Club has members in the United States and Canada. Members belong to a Chapter and multiple Chapters make up a Region. There are currently 8 Regions: Canada-East Region, Canada-West region, Northeastern Region, Southeastern Region, North Central Region, South Central Region, Mountain Region and Pacific Region.

Q. Who can join the Heartland Owners Club?
A. Anyone who currently owns a Heartland RV brand recreational vehicle (as listed at www.heartlandrvs.com). Completion of an Owners Club membership application is required.

Q. What chapter should I join?
A. Join the chapter that makes the most sense to you. That could be the chapter that includes the state or province in which you reside. If you full-time or travel extensively select a chapter near where you spend the most time during rally season. Your “home” chapter may be changed at anytime by updating your member profile.

Q. What chapter can I join?
A. You may join any active chapter. You will receive communication of chapter events from the chapter leader for the chapter you elect as your home chapter.

Q. As the member of the club, will I hear from the club in some way?
A. Yes, from time-to-time, you will receive communication usually in the form of emails of chapter events from the chapter leader of your home chapter. You will also receive emails from your Region Director, the Club Manager and the Club President.

Q. Can I join an event being sponsored by another chapter?
A. Yes, as a Heartland RV owner you may attend any rally, any time, any where.

Some Other Brand

Q. I have friends that own an SOB (some other brand) RV. We enjoy RVing with them. Can they join the Heartland Owners Club?
A. Sorry – The Heartland Owners Club is open only to owners of a Heartland RV manufactured product.

Q. I have friends that own an SOB (some other brand). We enjoy RVing with them. Can they join us at a local chapter rally?
A. Possibly – Allowing SOBs at a local chapter rally is at the discretion of the local chapter leader. There may be a small rally fee charged to the SOB. This gives Heartlanders a chance to show your friends some Heartland spirit and hospitality as well give them some nice exposure to the brand.

Q. I am a Heartland Owners Club member. I have sold my Heartland product and now own an SOB. Can I still be a Member of the Heartland Owners Club?
A. Sorry – as the Heartland Owners Club is open only to owners of a Heartland product once you no longer own a Heartland product you are no longer eligible for membership so your membership expires.

Q. I am a Heartland Owners Club member. I have sold my Heartland product and now own an SOB. Can I still attend Heartland Owners Club rallies?
A. Possibly – as you no longer own your Heartland product your HOC membership has expired. However, allowing SOBs at a local chapter rally is at the discretion of the local chapter leader. There may be a small rally fee.

Managing Your Club Data

Q. How do I change my email address, phone numbers and/or coach information in my Club Membership?
A. Email the Club manager at club@heartlandowners.org with your desired changes.

Q. I changed my email address in my Forum profile, but club emails are still going to my old address. Why?
A. The Forum and the Club have 2 separate databases. Changing information in one will not automatically change the information in the other. For changes to your Heartland Owners Club email send an email to the Club manager at club@heartlandowners.org with your desired changes.
