towmax tires failure

Found it. Woo Hoo. Must have skipped over it when taking pictures. Mine is rated 3750 lbs at 110 PSI. So that is good to know for the sailun tires. I wish the manufacture had put those on first. I will shave to run the towmax first for a little while. I will do my best to keep an eye on them.

Bones ~ I don't want to beat a dead horse here, but get them off as soon as you can afford to. I was just bit by the BlowMax bug last month. Thought for sure I could get a year out of them with monitoring tire pressure and visibly checking for uneven wear. $4k in insurance claims later.........

Not that we need another episode here, but I'll get the entertainment started :)
Why confuse folks?
It's just "Sailun"
Powermax is a different brand (under TBC).

extra salt please.

Right you are, I meant Power King not Powermax. I got the Power King Towmax mixed up with the Power King truck and trailer tires. Who is TBC?

TBC is the wholsaler for tire and rims to the RV industry, and have their tire imported from Dynamic Corp out of Ontario Canada, who is the international inporter of over 20 brands of trailer tires coming out of china. They personally told me they represent more than 20 "names" of tire

I got mixed up too. No powermax as far as I can tell. Yeah Power king is another one of their brands.

TBC corp
http://www.tbccorp.com/
Parent company of all these confusing tire brands, plus big o, midas, etc.
Actually owned by sumitomo a Japanese company...

We just had two blow outs in 7 days. The first one was in a parking lot (not moving) 7 days later had another while traveling at 55 mph. Took out fender skirt and damaged gas lines and electrical wiring. Estimated cost of repair $3,500. 2013 Heartland Sundance 3400QB Will post pictures. When I get them off my camera. By-the-way tires had less than 1500 miles on them.

Hi rgkelley,

Sorry to hear about the damage to your coach. Consider filing a report with NHTSA and seeing if they would like to examine the tires. They should be able to determine the cause of failure. If they find a manufacturing defect, it could help many other owners.
