Update: Took my RV in for a check up a month ago. They just got back to me with their systems check report. They said 4 cutter seals along the roof need to be resealed and it will take 6-8 hours and it will cost $1200. Like I said in my original post the RV has always been covered and I don’t have any leaks. I only take it out 2-3 times a year and it’s only in the summer. Do I need this if I never take it out in the rain. Does a roof need this after 12 years? Just curious what the group has to say.
I purchased our 2009 fifth wheel in 2015 from a private owner. He always kept it protected from the weather by keeping it in his barn. Since purchasing I had a RV carport built and have kept it protected too. About the only thing I have done in the six years is have the bearings packed and replaced the tires. I’ve had no issues at all but want to take it in this fall to have it checked out just for peace of mind. My question to other owners is there anything I should be asking them to check that I might be missing? I live in the Seattle area so I’m glad I keep it covered. I’ll have them check the roof, AC, slides, appliances, etc… Thanks in advance.
