Hello Everyone.

I just purchased a Sundance XLT 189MB and can't wait to bring it home. I'm getting solar panels & batteries installed along with the slide topper.

I'm hoping to learn a lot and meet some great people. I'm getting into night sky photography and hope to get into auto photography at some point. I have the Light Polution app (LPM) and so far it's been great.

One of the trips I plan on taking is from Seattle to San Diego and I'd like to take Hwy 1. I'm hoping that someone has made that trip and can suggest whether it's a good one to make in a RV or would it be a crazy trip with low tunnels, steep grades and so on. I'm open to suggestions.

Glad I found the forum and looking forward to meeting you,

Regards,

NightSky

Congrats on the new trailer. Solar and slide toppers are a good addition. I’ll speak about Hwy 1 from south of Monterey to Ragged Point. Some parts are very windy and narrow with steep drop offs. With your trailer it won’t be a problem, you won’t get to look at the view too much though. The biggest hindrance is the number of bikes on the road. With no shoulder for them to ride on you’ll just have to go slow and wait for a chance to pass. We were there earlier this week. Between San Simeon and McWay Falls we probably passed 100 bikes. I wouldn’t take my 40’ Bighorn up that stretch of Hwy 1, but it is a drive to remember.

Welcome to the group, from Mayport Naval Station, for now. Tomorrow we are moving further south toward Orlando.
I do photography but have not had any success with night sky, I would really like to do it, but need more practice.
Next summer we are planning a trip from Goodyear, Az., from spring training, to several National Parks up north of there.
