Are we missing a Forum Help / How-To document on a topic that has you stumped? If so, please reply to this thread with the forum topic you need help on and forum Administration will do their best to find you a solution and in some cases, we'll create a document covering it.

Thanks!

I tried datamining but couldn't locate a basic "how-to" for manually leveling our travel trailer. It's going to be on a slab for several months and I'd like to get it right the first time. We're new travel trailer users.

I don't see anywhere obvious to flag a forum administrator (other than this section). For instance, I accidentally posted in an incorrect subject area, and wanted to move it. I'm assuming that an administrator can help... but not an easy task to track down an administrator. I had to look through quite a few menus to find this area.

I've moved your DC to DC charging post.
If there is staff online it will be shown by clicking on the Home tab in the tool bar above. You can send a message there.

Peace

Newbie. 2018 Trail Runner SLE. Is there an owners manual that shows how to operate my trailer. I found the generic Heartland "owners manual but it is vague at best. I found several valves under the stove with no directions on ow they are configured. Also, I don't have a clue how to use the furnace. I filled the holding tank and had the pump on but there are no lights showing the level working on the panel. Water started coming out of the city water connection so I guess the holding tank is full. with the city water detached I opened a faucet and turned on the pump. It spurted a few times and I felt air pressure coming out of the faucet but the water never flowed. I really need a users manual. I think the pump is not getting a supply, probably because a valve is in the wrong position.

In October 2017, when we bought our 2018 Road Warrior, our rig came with a generic thumb drive as the owner's manual. But it had manuals for the each of installed appliances.
The furnace is controlled by the AC thermostat. First make sure your propane is on, set the fan to "auto", then cycle thru to "furnace", next set the temperature.
If you have 2 AC units, only one will control the furnace, our is the unit in the bedroom.

Your water issue, if the water heater is not full, you could have been filling it, depends on how the by-pass for it is set.

My furnace has a separate Dometic thermostat on the wall. The off/on slide switch won;t move. I saw some blogs that said it was typical for this particular type but you reallly have to push it hard. I just didn;t want to break it. I have thumb drive and there are no instructions specific to the equipment installed in my camper. I've searched the equipment tag information and found the manual for my AC online. My plumbing has valves that aren't labeled and I suspect that the supply to the pump may be closed. The level lights don't work but that is another problem for another day. I have to figure out the plumbing configuration and valve set up. The Insta Hot, propane only water heater has a split coil and will be replaced. I plugged the supply line. Had to cap the line on the toilet too. Valve was leaking. Ordered new one on Amazon. This unit has obviously had freeze damage which the previous owner failed to mention. When I bought it they had the AC running and said everything worked and I took their word for it. I'm definitely having a learning experience here. 1st time RV owner but not deterred.

Concerning the pumping lines, which valves are you talking about? None of our valves were labeled as well. If the valves near the water pump, it may still be set for winterization pickup. If so, this will not allow the pump to get water from the tank. Just went out and looked and our water pump does not have a supply valve, it has a line straight to the freshwater tank. The only valve on the water pump is for the winterization process.
With you thinking there is freeze damage, maybe the water pump is cracked or damaged as well, if it is, you will need to replace it.

Hint: while you have the toilet out, go ahead and install a cut-off valve at the toilet for later.
The thumb drive is generic to all Heartland rigs, we got paper manuals for the appliances from the companies, these came with the rig.

If you can place some pics on here.
