Hi Walt, been awhile since I've been on the site. Things going good with the camper, but I do have a soft spot by the front door. I went to the camper today and found some water on the floor by the front door. It has been winterized so I'm not sure where the water came from. There is no...
Bought a used MPG 184 last year. It has fiberglass sides and I just power washed it, hand washed it, and put a coat of NuFinish on it.
Any time we touch the sides of the camper it leaves a black streak (see pic from just dragging fingers over the side). We can wash the marks off easy or use a...
My wife came up with the idea of using a couple long curtain rods, wire shelving, and plastic storage containers to be placed over the bed area of our MPG 184. Works great! We pack all our clothes and use another curtain rod and long bungee to prevent them from falling out during travel.
I...
Here are a couple pics of an access panel that looks like was cut into the wall (not by the factory). I assume there must of been a leak from the toilet that was fixed. Not sure why they would add a shut off valve?
We bought the 184 last fall and didn't notice the soft spot in the floor right inside the door (former owner had a thick rug over it when we looked at it and we missed it). Before I tear into it, does anyone know where the water might be coming from? It rained hard this weekend while we were...
Did you ever get your floor fixed and if so, how did you do it? My floor is soft right inside the door. Haven't found any leak yet so not sure the source of the problem. We bought it used last year and didn't notice the problem until after we bought it so maybe the leak has been fixed but not...
Have another question. When putting in the electric heating element and all switches are OFF but hooked up to dhore power, when I touch the white wire going to the heating element to the metal inside the water heater area, it sparks a little. When I put a multimeter on it, it reads .58 volts...
They are regular size flies. Nothing dead in there as had it in the driveway for a week with no issues. They are always horrible at the Missouri River here in SD, but have never had that many get inside a camper. A few get in with the door opening once in awhile.
Here is a pic from the...
Took out our new to us 2011 MPG 184 this weekend for the first time. Loved it, but the only issue we are having is somehow flies are getting inside the camper. We left for a few hours, doors all closed, and when we returned their were probably 400 flies inside. We spent half an hour killing...
Thank you. I did take apart some of the water heater today and cleaned things up a bit. Didn't seem too dirty and all connections looked and measured good with the multimeter. I did unplug the circuit board that is under the bed and that all looked good, but after I put the connections back...
Thank you. So in trying this, neither electric or gas works. So since the gas doesn't even fire up, I have to assume that it is not a problem with the heating element but something else. Not sure how to check the wires with a multi-meter as everything I've tried touching doesn't show any...
