Big horn 3160 black water meter not reading properly

I have never tried Dawn, but on travel days when I dump the grays after they have been sloshing around all day a lot of darker water comes out. The gray tanks can get pretty nasty and have to be washed out.

Big horn 3160 black water meter not reading properly

Your next camping trip try leaving 5 to 8 gallons w/solution in all your tanks as you travel during the day. Maybe at the end of the day when you set up and dump those tanks they will read correctly. Otherwise I would just ignore them.

X3 on these tanks not being accurate. Just ignore them and keep track of your usage and develop a schedule for dumping/rinsing.

Which 5th wheel model is all weather, full time use?

Not sure there are any RVs under a million dollars that would have what you are actually wanting. If you are looking for extended camping in freezing temperatures, then you need to get an RV with a lot of wall and roof insulation plus heated tanks. There are other options that will come in...

    Cyclone 4006 leaking

We have friends in our winter park in FL that had a similar issue with their 5 year old fiver (non Heartland). The floors in two of their slide rooms rotted out and had to be completely taken out and replaced. Their insurance covered it. I would look for different insurance coverage if I were...

    Leak under front underbelly.

Not sure what year and model your have, but on our 2021 Cyclone my only water leak so far was the line coming out of the hot water heater, above the backcheck valve.

Has anyone converted from Residential Fridge to LP?

I agree with above, but everyone’s need will vary. As far as gas aging out and OEM generator use I have a regular maintenance schedule. I might keep 30 gallons in my toy tank and only 5 gallons in my generator tank. If I haven’t used the gen for a couple weeks I’ll run it with a load at least...

Has anyone converted from Residential Fridge to LP?

We have the large 3-door LG residential frig and two 12-volt house batteries. I'm not sure how long the frig would run before those two batteries would drop below 50% but I'm guessing close to 24 hours. Since you are upgrading and adding some solar you might find your residential frig will be...

    3 Dump Valves

My advise is to test each tank and plumbing fixture to determine what goes where, plus what valve does what tank, then use a label maker and mark every gate valve. When we took delivery of our 2021 4006 the dealer gave us wrong instructions (4 gate valves for 4 tanks, for 1.5 baths, galley, and...

2021 TST TPMS Discount for Heartland Owners Club Members

That is a pretty good discount. I started with a TST system back in 2011 when we began FTing in our first fiver. I moved it to a new tag axle DP and added sensors. As the years went by I upgraded to the newer color stand-alone monitor and at one point used 12 sensors (DP towing 28' trailer)...

Heartlland 2022 - 4007 Cyclone soft spots floor water damage in kitchen

I must have missed the post about “demanding” or threatening to sue.

Heartlland 2022 - 4007 Cyclone soft spots floor water damage in kitchen

Within the first couple of months I discovered two different major leaks in our large bedroom escape window. It was leaking so bad that I had to go outside on my 8' stepladder in the middle of a driving rain and stick a half roll of roof repair tape over the top of the window and down one side...

    Exterior White Water Line Leaking?

I had went out this morning to do EXACTLY what you had done in an attempt to re-seat those 0 rings. It has now been over an hour switched back to “city” water and no running water from fresh tank overflow! Looks like it is fixed temporarily anyway. Thanks for the info you posted, even though...

    Exterior White Water Line Leaking?

Checked a couple information videos online reference the plastic Anderson valves. The information on these said you need to shut the city water off to relieve pressure when switching from one setting to the next or you will blow the 0 rings out. I have never done this with any of my 5 RVs over...

    Exterior White Water Line Leaking?

Thanks for quick posts. I’m certain it has nothing to do with my LG ice maker. I have pulled it to hook those lines up after discovering the factory did it backwards. No white lines there. The Anderson valve could be suspect even though my unit is only about 14 months old. We are FTers and...
