Prowler Lynx 27LX Axle/Bearing failure and upgrade!

No sir. No spike was detected until the fire and smoke started. Tire alert temp is set at 140. At the peak of summer when the wheels are facing the sun they don’t get hotter than 115.

Prowler Lynx 27LX Axle/Bearing failure and upgrade!

Hey there folks. Its been a long while since I've posted here. We've had our 27LX since 2014 and I must say its been a great RV. Ive done a ton of mods to it, and we've taken it for a few 3,000+ mile journeys. Everything has been great, until recently.... Bearing failure. Failure of a bearing...

EVENT: Heartland Chapter Rally: TX, Boerne - 4/17/2015 to 4/19/2015

Yea the Corvette show was a nice treat. My wife was able to make it and we had a little birthday cake in celebration of her mom's 66th birthday today! We got back to the camper just in time before the storm came through. I felt a little sad for all those car owners having to clear out early due...

Anyone using 5k to 6k led replacement light bulbs?

4k. Much warmer light that's not harsh on the eyes.

    Sewer gas smell in bedroom

You are correct on all counts. However it's not a whole lot heavier than air. It will tend to stay low as long as the wind stays low. When it's burned it produces Sulfer Dioxide which is much heavier than normal air. I would like to add that many people can get very sick at levels even less...

Latest modifications/additions to our Wilderness 2250

Great job on your mods! I've wished our freezer had a shelf before. Now I may try to make one like you did! The TV mod is a great idea and I like how you have it mounted on a swivel bracket. And I am so happy I got one of the vent covers like you did. My brothers 38' Rockwood Windjammer had both...

    Backup camera options for '13-'15 Ram 1500, 2500 & 3500?

This particular cable kit only supports one cam, but RVS makes a 3 camera quick disconnect if you wish to mount up to three on your towed vehicle. Check out rearviewsafety.com

Anyone using the Barker Swing Free sewer hose kit?

My brother in law has a 38' Rockwood Windjammer and I setup his plumbing and electrical systems and the trailer is stationed downhill and about 50ft away from the house. Electrical was a breeze, as was plumbing the PVC lines underground for the fresh water system. The 'fun' came when deciding...

    Backup camera options for '13-'15 Ram 1500, 2500 & 3500?

I used the Rear View Safety quick disconnect system between the truck and the trailer. $89 and works great!

    Prowler Lyynx Experience

Live been very happy with our Lynx 27LX. Great camper for the money and I've been mostly pleased with the build quality. Check out my posts for pics of the upgrades I have done. Happy camping!

Anyone using the Barker Swing Free sewer hose kit?

If the sewer is located uphill, than the "sewer solution" or a macerator system is the only option. As far as what I read about the seals, they are self cleaning during collapsing and storage. There is a flush filtting on the elbow that allows you to flush the system clean before collapsing. The...

Anyone using the Barker Swing Free sewer hose kit?

Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade from the stinky slinky to a more robust or "permanent" looking sewer hose and stumbled onto Barker's Swing Free system. Looks to be easy to use and quick to setup. Anyone using one? Click the picture and it will get bigger.
