Have a 2015 Bighorn 3010RE and looking to add a hitch to the rear to carry two e bikes. Wondering if anyone has done this with this type of weight (150lbs) plus weight of carry rack so probably gonna hit 250lbs?. Concerned about bounce and strength of hitch and plug and play.

We had a hitch welded on by a local weld fabrication shop. We used it for our bike rack with two mountain bikes. It worked and functioned great. If you do this make sure you take into account clearing the ladder on back of your rv. In the picture attached you do not see that there are bars welded to the I-Beams for additional support above the black coroplast material. Very well done and held up for the 13 years we owned it.

I had a hitch made by a weld shop. I used all 3 inch channel with 1/4 inch wall for strength. I bolted mine to my Bighorn. In the province where i live ... it is illegal to weld a hitch to a frame, truck, car or RV. I dont have my unit home currently so can't supply pics.l bolts 1 foot long channel to the bottom ofThe frame and then slide hitch between channel and bolted it fast. I used 3/4 inch bolts. Grade 8 strength. I can tow a vehicle with my hitch.

Remember that the bike rack is just as important as the hitch, it gets rough back there. Many people loose their bikes due to an inferior rack.

Agree about bike rack. Dont go and buy
a $ 29.99 bike rack. Make sure it is rated for the weight of the bikes.
Most electric bikes are rated with the battery installed. The battery itself weighs around 12 lbs.
Look at Raleigh, Toule , Swagman etc.
Dont go cheap or they will be dragging in the road. Lol

We have the Hollywood Racks RV Rider, had a clamp wear out and they sent 2 new ones no charge. Great customer service too.
This is how we did ours, got the idea from a friend. Been like this since 2020 with no issues, this year I had a welder I know look over it and he saw no issues.
One day.....I will remove the underbelly and see if I can move it up onto the frame.
Our ebike weigh around 55lbs without the battery and the rack is around 65lbs
