I just wanted to come back and say thanks to everyone. It was a 20 minute job to replace this AC. The hardest part about it was getting the AC up and onto the roof. Climbing a ladder with an AC over your shoulder is a **** of a trick lol.
Anyways, thanks again. She's blowing cold again and...
I pulled off the interior panel and you can see the four bolts holding the unit down and straight up through the roof to the top of the unit. This should be a breeze. I think the hardest part of this job is going to be hauling the new 75lb unit up and getting the old 75lb unit down.
While it was uncovered, i pulled that styrofoam cover on the right off, and, you can see right down into the living room! scary!
so i guess the unit is secured from the bottom, not bolted down on the roof itself. still looks simple/doable as long as my replacement unit has the same bolt...
Thank you for the quick reply. I was actually up on the roof right after i posted that and was taking pics of anything i could see. i saw that same label, but, mine is pretty faded. i can make out 15,000 btu, but not much else to be honest.
I have a 2016/2017 Heartland Elkridge E255 Fifth Wheel. My main Dometic roof top AC is on its last leg. It barely cools anymore.
I want to replace it, but, ideally, I'd like to order the exact same unit so the replacement is a walk in the park and I can just do it myself. I'm...
Thank you, i've seen posts/videos by another guy that did that to his rig and it looked awesome. he had a much bigger, heavier rig though .. i think a much higher lift than me too. that looked awesome though.
i'm not looking to spend that kind of money though. :-)
This is my first rig, and...
I have a 2017 Elkridge E255 Fifth Wheel
I pull it with my dodge ram 2500 , but, the truck has a 6" lift and 37" tires.
When I tow my fifth wheel, i'm putting too much weight on the rear axle.
I'd like to install the spacer blocks Dexter sells on my camper.
My question is, whats the biggest...
I haven't tried moving the couch yet other than just grabbing it and trying to move it. It does appear to be fastened somehow, which, is the main reason i signed up and posted here to see if i could get some detailed/precise guidance.
I could always crawl around and try to figure it out...
Hello, new member here,
We have a 2016 Elkridge E255 Fifth Wheel. The wife wants to replace the couch with two theatre set recliners.
Is this something we can easily do?
If the recliners are electric, is there 110v wiring nearby I can access?
Thanks in advance for any tips.
