    Near Explosion of Water Tank!

I have a Landmark and there is an open drain line on off-curb-side of coach near the axles. I found it when I first filled the fresh-water tank to capacity and extra water/air was bleeding out and running under the coach toward the front steps. I've also seen other threads for different...

    Valor Tire Monitoring

Don - Sorry to hear you have had such poor experience w/TPMS. My Heartland also came w/the internal mount Valor TPMS, so I was working the initial troubleshooting to get the system operational. Just wan to make sure the system is functional since it was included in the purchase price. As for...

    Valor Tire Monitoring

https://heartlandowners.org/showthread.php/48166-TPMS-dropping-sensors-during-transit Had a similar issue I just resolved. Check out thread above. First I tried moving the antenna all over the rear of the vehicle; settled on mounting it below the receiver hitch. Original position was on the...

    TPMS dropping sensors during transit

Installed the two new sensors from Don. Had to re-baseline during the first tow, but all four tires on the trailer are now working without any issue. I really appreciate all of Don's help and his urgency getting the new sensors to me quickly.

    a/c filter

Thanks Jim. Figured it was something outside of the A/C units. Another interesting engineering solution that probably needs to go back into the oven at 350 degrees and baked until golden brown.

    TPMS dropping sensors during transit

Received the sensors in from Don last night. He sent me two since I had the driver's side front and passenger side rear sensor acting flaky when he did the checkout at my home. I need to pull the tires and get them to a shop to break down the rim and replace the sensors. Have a feeling the...

Looking forward to hearing the answer to this question. I have a 2015 Landmark w/ducted A/C and can't quite figure it out either.

    Bedroom Slide

Thanks for the idea Adam. Very nice install on the wood flooring. I'll have to take a look at the bed frame and possible solutions once I get the trailer out of the shop. I'll see what I can do to reinforce where necessary so I can get the rollers stationary on the floor. Was getting the...

    Bedroom Slide

Thanks for the info. The slickers I made were very similar alternative to the ones you can purchase. Can't remember if I saw them in a Trailer Life issue or some other blog. The real issue I'm having is clearance of the bed frame/rollers on the carpet. You can only see about 1/2 of the...

    Bedroom Slide

I'd like to see the bed raised up some in the bedroom slide. It appears the bed is level with the sub-floor and not accounting for the additional height of the carpet and padding. Brand new carpet already getting badly worn by the two rollers supporting the bed by just operating the slide a...

ram 3500 w/o fifth wheel prep

I also just purchased a 2014 Ram 3500 dually w/the puck system. I didn't want to pay for the factory installed hitch option because the delaer couldn't provide any specifics other than 20K capacity. Wasn't about to pay good money for something I couldn't get information on prior to purchase. I...

    TPMS dropping sensors during transit

Just got finished up checking the Valor TPMS w/Don Rigby. Don stopped in at 8:00PM on his way back to MI from TN. What awesome customer focus. Don checked sensors on each tire. Glad he did because the sensor chips in display were transposed on axle #2. All sensors mounted on the rims did...

    TPMS dropping sensors during transit

Been working with Don from TPMS...great service; very responsive! Wondering if anyone else has had issues with sensors not responding during travel while Don is working with engineering for possible solution(s). I have a Ram 3500 crew cab dually long bed connected to a Landmark Savannah...

New Heartland product and quality problems any?

Tom Montague is the current Landmark product manager I spoke with. He's supposed to get back with me after researching the VIN and coordinating with his QA and Warranty managers.

New Heartland product and quality problems any?

I also recently purchased my first Heartland product, a 2015 Landmark Savannah. My wife Julie and I had done extensive research on the Internet, visiting dealers, and attending multiple shows over a 3-year period. We'd down selected to three different manufacturers before finally deciding to...

2013 Ram 2500 HD Cummins issue

Jim, Thanks for posting the fix action you walked the dealer through. This is one I'll file away in my troubleshooting file for the Ram. Not surprised at all you had to identify the fix for them. Troubleshooting seems to be a lost skill. Happy Camping!

    Considering Landmark Savanah Purchase

Larry, I just purchased a 15 Savannah. I'd go w/full-body paint. I've never seen a rig w/decals that held up to time. Also recommend getting the upgraded axle option w/17.5" aluminum wheels and hydraulic brakes. We spent 3-years doing homework before choosing to buy a Landmark.

Landmark Disc Brakes w/ Upgraded Axles

Re: ATF: Landmark - Disc Brakes w/ Upgraded Axles jnbhobe...glad to hear the 2014 Ram didn't have issues. Saved me a call to the truck dealership to start researching the issue. Guess I should have looked at all the replies first.

Landmark Disc Brakes w/ Upgraded Axles

Re: ATF: Landmark - Disc Brakes w/ Upgraded Axles Bob&Patty....Appreciate the tipper on Prodigy as a backup. Will be curious to see if the factory brake controller works. Surprised many of the factory controllers don't support since the trailer mod is electric over hydraulic.

Landmark Disc Brakes w/ Upgraded Axles

I'm awaiting delivery of a 2015 Savannah and have been spending a lot of time looking at the forums. I recently found one concerning the optional upgrade to disc brakes w/upgraded axle. The person who posted the entry also purchased the upgrade for disk brakes w/upgraded axle, but said the...

    Getting The Right Tow Vehicle

Your choice of vehicle and combinations on the build may drive the bed length. Only way to get a short bed on the Dodge is to go w/super-crew. I chose to go w/standard crew cab (4-door) w/long-bed. Couldn't believe how large/heavy the slider hitches were when seeing them at the shows. I was...

    Getting The Right Tow Vehicle

A few have mentioned the axle weight on the vehicle, but you really need to run the numbers and make sure you don't exceed gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) and/or gross combined weight rating (GCWR). What I found during my search for a tow vehicle was I kept overloading the truck (GVWR)...

    Couple of Issues

Sorry...I can't provide info on how the dealership accessed the line to remove the blockage. I just experienced the issue when looking at a Heartland for purchase. I thought there was a way to get into the space from interior of the coach since the dealer mentioned they typically have to...

Why Big Horn and not Montana or Jayco Pinnacle?

I just recently purchased w/Heartland. I'd looked at the other units you mentioned as well. There are several differences in construction and materials you can pick out, but the key piece I focused on was the company's willingness to explicitly state "full-time living warranty." Jayco did...

    Couple of Issues

Saw a similar issue with AC on a trailer we looked at in FL. Assuming the zones are set up right at the AC control panel, so it's probably a blockage in the main outlet line for the living room. There was some type of foam block put in the outlet of the AC that hadn't been removed. Bathroom...

    Individual Wheel Dry Weight

Thanks for the replies. Figured I'd have to get to one of the rallies to get on the individual scales. Will be interested to see if a weight ticket comes with the new coach. See that they scaled each unit as it rolls off the assembly line. Assume they only use the scales for the trailer...

    Individual Wheel Dry Weight

Has anyone completed an individual wheel weight with the coach completely empty? I'm curious to know how well Landmark's are balanced when delivered from the factory. New tow rig

Re: Ford vs. Dodge . . . Just bought a new Dodge Ram 3500 DRW 4X4 myself. I'll be hauling a Savannah, so I planned around max trailer wt. of 16,800 when purchasing. Primary reason I went with Dodge was for the Cummins motor, but I also found out that the Aisin HD transmission is built on the...

    Whole Coach Water Filtration

Believe I've seen the photos of your project on the blog site you referenced. I haven't taken possession of the new coach yet, so figured...

Appreciate all the immediate feedback. I will check out the local home stores to see what's available before purchasing. Do you put the tote outside the coach when in use? My coach is still being built, so I'm not sure how I could plumb a hose or hard line that would enable me to keep the...
