We stayed at the Louisville South KOA last year when we did the bourbon trail. Was close to Makers Mark, Jim Beam, Heaven Hills to south and Bulleit and Evan Wiliams to the North in Louisville. We stayed at the Elkhorn campground in Frankfort which was a very nice well kept family owned park...

So glad you got an opportunity to go back home. Tennessee is just a great place. We are not originally from TN however moved there immediately after college lived there almost 15 years and have been gone almost 20 but still consider it home. Plan to go back some day.
We were so excited when we seen this rally and the time frame. Just completed our vacation schedule and we are planning on attending. We used to live about 10 to 15 minutes from the KOA and have not been to Nashville in almost 20 years so we are looking forward to. Most of our trips to TN now...
Glad you figured out. I thought you were initially talking about the porch light. I am not sure if the switch would impact the motion sensor or not as mine doesn't have a motion sensor light.

Ice is definitely the most dangerous and destructive. Be careful. Lot of difference between being in North and South. When we lived in TN a couple inches would shut things down in Ohio it takes at least a good 6 to 7 inches to slow things down.
Cd....maybe a good thing as the weather here today is horrible. We live about 30 miles west of RV Wholesalers. It is snowing with blowing snow 26 mph wind and 19 degrees the high tomorrow is going to be around 6 degrees. Hopefully March is much better.

If but for nothing other than resale value/ability I would always opt for 4x4 at least in the north where we live. With that said I have used 4 wheel drive several times due to wet grassy areas.

We have GS although we have not had to use with RV they have assisted my son who is in college on two different occasions and were very prompt in dispatching service and called me back ensuring all was taken care of.

My dad a retired truck driver of 40 years taught me to back with just a few points. 1- get out and first see where you are backing into. 2- to the extent possible avoid backing in on the " blind side" 3- keep an eye on your tires as you are making the turn when backing. Rarely will I need the...
Agree with the others. I had a 2500 for similar size/weight trailer and it did fine but upgraded to a 3500 and just seems to really handle better and ride better when towing. The difference in price was less than $500.

Great article Jim thanks for sharing. Some companies/leaders just get it. I believe Heartland with Chris's leadership is one that gets it. Seems to be truly focused on the customer from both a service aspect and experience aspect.
