Truck now sitting 99.9% of time.....suggestions while it is

So I bought a lil 4 banger car to go to work.......a whopping 2 miles. Truck now sits idles 99.9% of time which is ok by me given the 2 miles (LOL). Just before it got "parked", I topped it off w/ fuel and treated it as well. Bought a 5amp Battery Tender, so the batts are ok in that aspect...

Toilet water bubbles/splashes up when toilet bowl is full when you flush

Our son had many "sewer trouts" as he somehow managed to gum up the works in stick house many times. Then replaced Johnny Flush w/ better one and no more ups

Toilet water bubbles/splashes up when toilet bowl is full when you flush

Has anyone ever used the device you attach to the dump connection that runs water backwards into the tank to aid in flushing? Not sure if this will help OP's problem or not OR if Roto-Rooter will be needed.

    Ford 250 Diesel

What's the GVW of both truck and trailer? Am willing to bet the truck will weigh in close to 8500 pounds or more. What is the truck itself (crew cab, 4x4, short box etc)? Think we will be better able to assist you once we know the details. As for that year of Ford diesels, they had/used 6.4...

    Cyclone 4007 bedroom slide issues

Am willing to bet being a slide within a slide, it's a Schwintek system. I agree w/ dahillbilly's post. Have you applied the lube to tracks recommended by Schwintek? Have heard reports of motors going south or outta sync. Many use the Schwintek system, IMO, not the best and we have one...

    Strong Arms

Our CC was just like yours, landing legs and rear stabilizers (crank down. Installed them myself but had to have a metal plate welded to rear frame for the rear JT's. Once all was done, DEF helped in reducing the wiggle of the coach (36' long). new RV is 41' w/ no rear stabs, just the 6pt w/ the...

    Strong Arms

They did on our '06 Cedar Creek! Didn't have the 6pt, but knew another couple that had a CC w/ 6pt and they said it def helped as well. Now we have a '18 BC 3560SS w/ 6pt and it was wiggle to it, but ok. I think what we as RVer's are finding out (hence your question) is that many have the 6pt...

    After market truck seats

Bostrum (sp) used to make seats for semis. Boston Accustics (sp) makers of BOSE sound systems I think make seats for semis. National seating. Not sure if any make seats for pick ups, but worth a try.

    Portable air compressors

What are you looking to air up? If just for the rig and RV, many go w/ ViaAir. Others use lil pancake compressors.

    All electric slides are dead

Shootin' from the hip here, but is it possible they breakers themselves are to blame?? Too weak capacity? I know I replaced the 50A ones w/ 80A and have direct power cable from battery to them. BUT this is for the main hyd pump. Again, just taking a stab at it.

    ALLUCK Armrest sticky thingy's

Last year sometime I bought the said product for door armrest. Thing works GREAT! However, the sticky pad that the warmest sticks to has lost it's oomph and now the arrest doesn't want to stick to it. Can find a whole new kit from Amazon, but nowhere can I find just to get a replacement pad...

    Who Insures you?

Just and FYI for those who have Erie. We had them for home, auto and snowmobiles for many years. Agent advised me a year ago that Erie was raising their rates quite a bit so they shopped around and got us hooked up w/ Plymouth Rock. Not saying this company is nationwide, but may want to have...

Antifreeze vs Near-Empty for Winter Storage

I've always just used the pink AF from Wal-Mart. Bypass the WH, fill all the lines via run AF thru them, add more where "P" traps are. Granted ours sits inside a building in winter (not heated), but it's still warmer than being outside. Been doing it this way since '05 and no problems.

    Electric Fire place issues

We don't camp in it during the winter (kinda stinks in a way when you pay all this $$ for 6 months/yr...LOL), but what we generally do on chilly nights is run the BR FP and then upon a bathroom trip around 5 or 6, turn off the BR FP and turn on the LR FP. If we know it's really gonna be a...

    Electric Fire place issues

Our 3560SS BC does the same thing. I agree too that it doesn't make sense that 2 A/C's can run at same time but not the FP's. Really? How much more $$ would it cost HL to wire it up to do so? After all, your already spending 100K on the unit, so a couple bucks more isn't going to break the...

Winterizing 4005 - How control quick connect water line on street side?

I don't have this feature, but how do you get water thru it normally? If it was me, I'd add whatever water line attaches to it and run AF thru it like you would normally til the AF comes out. In spring do the same thing to sanitize it.

How about Couch's RV Nation? I Know they carry Big Country. We traveled 500 miles 1 way and saved close to 9 grand for ours. Been very pleased/happy w/the rig.

    2022 BH280 - Panel Separation

I too would want to see if rig would be taken back to HL for them to repair. OR, have dealer fix it, then turn around and trade it in. OR just simply trade it in now and be done w/ it altogether.

    Winterization or not?

If your planning on using it all winter, may want to consider skirting sound the whole base and under the hitch area. this will help reduce the furnace running some. In addition to what John said above, may also want to consider a large propane tank from local place as the 30#'ers won't last...

Roof membrane and sealant failure for a Fuel 287

I know it wouldn't be cheap or covered under insurance or perhaps if you talk w/ them they may just go for it---maybe not all of it, but have you considered by chance RV Roof Armor or the other one? One comes to you, the other you have to take it to one of their installers. Another member had...

    Schwintek Slide Out

Knock on wood we've been fortunate by not having any issues w/ the Schwinteks on our 3560SS. I did post/inquire as to wether or not anyone has heard or used a product called Vroom Slide System that essentially replaces the Schwintek with what seems a more robust product. Doesn't look to be cheap...

how do you know if the DEF you buy for your truck is good?

I too buy mine at the diesel pump when needed. based on my driving and miles per year, I usually only get it couple times/year. So probly sits in truck longer than it does at fuel stop. No probs.
