soft starts or capacitors will not help cooling, those are used for starting up the compressor. As stated in post #3 above clean coils do make a huge difference in cooling capacity. I would do that & check the plenum for leakage when the ducts ate connected.
make sure battery is fully charged by disconnecting the ground cable from battery. If that checks good look for a loose ground wire/s. If battery shows low voltage then check the converter for output should have 13.4 volts
looks like mold on the roof PIA to clean off & then to wash off side of camper. Word of advice when washing roof rinse side walls of camper more than the roof will save you time washing side walls later. Been there done that!!
the slide motors are 12 volt dc they need battery power in order to operate. Shore power only supplies 120 volts AC that's what keeps the battery charged if the converter is working properly
have a Torque 327 toy hauler with 1/2 bath in garage which is similar to a Cyclone. Front grey is main bath shower & sink; Rear grey is kitchen & 1/2 bath sinks plus washer drain.
have a 2018 Torque which has 5 total connections outs, de; top pair is for satellite connections; next pair is for antenna connections & bottom single connection is for cable system connections. I connect my Tailgater to the top left. Under the Tools tab above...
power to the switch should come from a automotive style fuse in the 12vdc fuse panel. Check for voltage at Switch, both terminals when "ON" should read 12vdc. If not then replace switch.
loose dirty connections will cause melting like that; plus loose / dirty connections will cause higher amp draw also. Look for loose connections at the main breaker for the 120vac panel. Picture posted is the 12vdc fuse panel. Good luck
you will need LOTS of good luck taking to CW, I'd try to find certified RV tech or a electrician! Electrician should have access to a wire tracer for following the wire. I used one before retiring as industrial electrician.
check wiring coming to the 12vdc from the transfer switch or the batteries. Could be a resettable relay somewhere in the circuit that has tripped. Just follow the wires & see what you find, good luck.
sounds like it is cycling like it should. Say that you have it set at 72, at that point the compressor shuts off, before the fans cycles off, the thermostat has risen above 72 from the air movement; so the compressor comes back on again, This cycle continues until the overall temperature cools...
just read from the Tools tab above; for cleaning a EPDM roof to use Spic-n-Span for just cleaning the roof. Question who has done this & how well did it work.
Call Heartland, explain what you found see what they say. Have last six numbers of VIN handy when you call them. Warranty should cover this mistake from factory.
measure from eye bolt to eye bolt there is a spec for that distance when they need replacing for the weight rating of said spring. I'm not sure what the spec's are. Performance Trailer measured mine & told me one was getting close to that point. Need to measure them again myself.
no RV is like a stick & brick home, you will need to add skirting, heated water line, insulation to windows etc. There are face book groups just for cold weather campers ask questions there is my suggestion. We have a similar Torque model that heats up & cools off quickly with the ambient air...
have a 2018 RV with same HW heater, remove the plastic plug every year to winterize system; never had a problem removing or installing the plug. Just make sure not to over tighten when installing it.
from the rusty sections of those hangers the cracks in the welds have been there for some time. Fresh shiny area just broke. I would replace all of the hangers with added supports & also check the springs for flatten out, as they get weaker the length increases causing undo stress on all of the...
Currently using the Curt Crosswing hitch, word of CAUTION before buying make sure you have a standard-length pin box. The Crosswing is not designed to be used with any extended pin box for short bed trucks. Can be costly to buy different pin box to work with the Crosswing. Been there!! I do...
