That was a thought when i built it but i figured if heartland figured it would hold the spare tire that it should hold two bikes that arent as heavy.. I relocated spare to under the bed..

I should be able to drop the hitch one set of holes and still keep around 7" or so of bedrail clearance, that shouldd get me almost level.. I cant tell for sure until i get it out somewhere thats level..

After failing to find many good options for carrying me and DW's bike around i decided i could make something better than i could buy, this is what i came up with... I got the short trays on ebay and the front fork clamps from rocky mounts website, biggest drawback is removing front wheels...

This is our 285ts 5er... We picked the sundance mainly because of its good value..

Thanks everyone.. The lights are just standard led rope lights from home depot. There fastened with cable straps to the self tapping screws that hold up the underbelly, i took out one screw at a time and just worked myself along the front, down the length ans across the back. I ran the male...

Thought it would be cool to have some lights along the length of the 5er so i installed some blue LED rope lighting along the entire length of the doorside.. Looks pretty cool i think cant wait to get it out of storage ..
